CCTV footage has been released of the moment a defence lawyer was shot outside his home in southwest Sydney in July last year.
Mahmoud Abbas, 30, can be seen walking to his car when he was ambushed by a masked man hiding behind a black Jeep.
The man allegedly shot the defence lawyer before fleeing the scene around 10.25am on July 26 in the suburb of Greenacre.
Police were called to the scene, where Abbas was found with gunshot wounds.
He was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition after being treated by paramedics.
New South Wales Police previously described the shooting as targeted.
"This is clearly a targeted and brazen shooting," Detective Superintendent Adam Johnson said.
CCTV of the incident along with images of a black Jeep recovered days after the shooting have been released by police as part of ongoing inquiries.
“As the investigation continues, detectives are appealing for anyone with information about the incident, the identity of the male, or the movements of the car to come forward,” said police in a statement.
