Golriz Ghahraman resigns after shoplifting allegations, Thames-Coromandel Mayor Len Salt said he has no regrets over an email he signed off with "go f*** yourself", and Joseph Parker confirms his next heavyweight title fight.

1 Golriz Ghahraman quits Parliament: 'I am very sorry

Golriz Ghahraman will resign as an MP effective immediately.

It follows claims the Green MP shoplifted from two different stores on three different occasions. She has not been charged.

The party's co-leaders James Shaw and Marama Davidsonreleased a statement on Ghahraman's resignation just after midday today, alongside a separate statement from Ghahraman herself, in which she said she had "let down a lot of people".

2 Mayor has ‘no regrets’ for signing off email: ‘f*** yourself’​

Thames-Coromandel Mayor Len Salt said he has no regrets over an email he unconventionally signed off with “go f*** yourself”.

His blunt missive was responding to a request for personal details of council staff, including their names and addresses.

4 Joseph Parker confirms next heavyweight title fight

Joseph Parker's next fight has been confirmed, with the Kiwi heavyweight set to battle China's Zhilei Zhang in March for the WBO interim heavyweight title in March.

It had been understood Parker was in line to either fight Zhang or Croatian Filip Hrgovic in Riyadh on March 8, on the undercard of Knockout Chaos, headlined by the Anthony Joshua v Francis Ngannou main event.

It has now been confirmed he will fight Zhang at the event.

5 Four drivers clocked at over 140km/h in Nelson​

Four drivers have lost their licence after they were clocked doing more than 140km/h on a Nelson road on Sunday evening.

The drivers were among seven motorists police caught travelling at high speed on Whataku Drive within one hour.

Tasman's road policing manager Inspector Hamish Chapman said there's "no excuse" that can justify dangerous or drink-driving.
