Police have named the two women who died in a two-vehicle crash in Taupō last week.
Police were called to the two-vehicle crash on Broadlands Rd around 4.10pm on January 5 and a third person was critically injured in the crash.
In an update, police named the women as 51-year-old Jeannine Ball from Rotorua and 76-year-old Lynda Ball from Taupō.
A police spokesperson said "thoughts are with their family and loved ones".
The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
