Missing 61-year-old Paraparaumu Beach woman found

A 61-year-old Kapiti woman previously reported missing has since been found "safe and well".

"Thank you to everyone for your assistance," police said on Wednesday night.

Earlier on Tuesday, authorities said there were concerns for the woman, who has dementia.

Ina was seen leaving her residence in Paraparaumu Beach on foot on Monday evening. She was in a grey striped shirt and a black jacket and was carrying a pink bag.

“Police are focusing their search on the Waikanae Beach and estuary area, and ask any residents in those areas to check around their properties," police said on Tuesday.
