1 Two dead, others injured after two-vehicle crash in Canterbury
Two people have died after a two-vehicle crash in Sefton, Canterbury, this morning.
Emergency services were called to the crash on Main North Rd around 10am.
"Police can confirm two people have died," a spokesperson said.
"Two people in one vehicle died at the scene, while a third person in that vehicle was moderately injured.
2 Here comes the sun: Temperatures set to rise into 30s
Workers are starting back to a warm, dry week with temperatures set to climb into the early 30s for some parts of the country.
MetService meteorologist John Law said a large area of high pressure was sitting across most of the country, bringing dry, fine weather.
3 Levin building 'totally destroyed' in suspicious fire
An abandoned building in Levin was levelled in a huge and "suspicious" blaze early this morning.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) were called to the Bath St scene at about 3.50am.
1News understands the derelict building was formerly the Bupa Gardenview Care Home for people with dementia.

McIver was seen walking the red carpet, holding her baby bump as she posed for photos.
The Golden Globes, a celebration of film and television, is being held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles today.
5 Coco's confidence bubbles over after Auckland victory
US Open champion Coco Gauff will head to the Australian Open with greater confidence in her form and fitness after beating Elina Svitolina in three sets in the Auckland Classic final.
The third-ranked Gauff became only the fourth player to win back-to-back singles in Auckland, achieving the feat at the age of 19.
