A suspicious fire broke out at a central Auckland store overnight, Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) have said.
In a statement to 1News, FENZ said they received multiple calls at 3.15am to a shop on fire on Hobson St.
"Firetrucks from Auckland central, Parnell and Grey Lynn attended. When they arrived it was a small fire at the entry of the shop."
The shop was part of a seven storey building, so fire crews evacuated the building.
Fire investigators and police were at the scene around 4am, deeming the blaze suspicious.
