One dead after going missing from boat in Marlborough Sounds

One person has died following a water incident in the Marlborough Sounds overnight.

Police were notified at 7.44am this morning that a person was missing from a boat in Titirangi Bay, 33km north of Picton.

A person was located dead in the water around 9.40am, who has since been confirmed as the missing person.
