Bodycam footage has emerged of a US cop's dramatic rescue of a woman from a burning car in Oklahoma.
Deputy Matthew Yerby sprung into action when he saw the car ablaze following a crash in Oklahoma County.
Footage shows Yerby smashing the driver's window and dragging the woman out of the car as it begins to become engulfed in flames.
After being carried to safety, the woman can be heard telling the officer she had suffered a broken ankle.
Yerby received high praise from Oklahoma County Sheriff Tommie Johnson III, who said his quick actions likely saved the woman's life.
"Without even thinking of his own safety, Deputy Yerby rushed to the burning car and saved the woman. If he had hesitated even a second or two, the victim likely would have been killed," Johnson said.
Speaking to a local news station, Johnson said he was very proud of his deputy and he would be nominated for an award for his brave actions.
