Police are investigating after two people were hurt in an alleged shooting outside a Timaru motel overnight.
Just before 2am this morning, a man was dropped off at a petrol station with gunshot wounds — and a woman was admitted to hospital with "similar injuries around the same time believed to be from the same incident", police said.
"A vehicle has been seized and will be examined," a spokesperson added.
"A scene examination is underway at a motel on Evans Street where the incident is understood to have taken place.
"Police are working to understand what has happened and engage with those involved."
