A camel has been filmed being walked through the streets of London, much to the shock of onlookers.
Video posted to Twitter shows the desert-dwelling mammal being led down a suburban street in north London by a woman.
The video was filmed by a woman who, after being alerted to the sighting by a young girl, refused to believe it.
She can be heard saying in the video: "Nah, I'm seeing too much weird stuff today. What is going on? What is going on?"
"See I told you it was a camel," the young girl replies.
The woman then says: "Listen, this little girl told me there was a camel outside. I thought she was lying. I actually thought she was capping."
Comments on the viral video joked that the camel was a creative way to avoid the ULEZ charge, an emissions standard-based charge applied to non-compliant road vehicles.
Another wrote that the mammal would be "faster than the Elizabeth line", a recently opened rail service across Central London.
The camel was allegedly part of a nativity run by a local church which has previously received criticism for the inclusion of live animals.
