Three teenagers arrested after Hamilton liquor store robbery

Police have arrested three teenage boys following the aggravated robbery of a Hamilton liquor store in which the shopowner was injured last weekend.

Four masked individuals entered the store on Whatawhata Rd in Dinsdale around 9.25pm on Saturday and allegedly assaulted two workers ― the owner and an employee.

Police said the owner suffered injuries to his head and hand after challenging the assailants, requiring hospital treatment before being released to recover at home.

Detective Inspector Graham Pitkethley said two 15-year-olds and a 17-year-old were arrested today in relation to the incident.

"Investigators are following strong lines of enquiry to locate a fourth individual."

Anyone with information about the event who has not yet spoken to police was asked to call 105.
