A security guard has today been identified as the man found dead in a West Auckland park yesterday.
Ramandeep Singh was found at the Royal Reserve Park on Beauchamp Dr, in Massey, in the early hours of the morning.
Police say they were called to the scene around 12.10am, where the 25-year-old was found "unresponsive". He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Security company Armourguard confirmed his death this afternoon.
"It is with deep sadness that Armourguard confirms that 25-year-old Ramandeep Singh - a security patrolman working for the organisation via a contractor - was found deceased in Massey, Auckland yesterday morning," Armourguard general manager New Zealand Shane O’Halloran said in a statement.
"We send our sympathies and condolences to the family and friends of Ramandeep and are offering our full support to them during this difficult time."

A 26-year-old man was yesterday charged with Singh's murder, and police "are not ruling out further arrests or charges", detective inspector Alan Proctor said.
"Our investigation teams have worked hard to reach this point," he said.
"While an arrest has been made, there are still a number of inquiries yet to be completed."
A post-mortem was expected to take place this morning, and an "increased police presence will remain in the area".
The park remains closed to the public.
