An older man has died in hospital eight days after he was located near the scene of a collision in Half Moon Bay that saw a number of people hurt.
A 22-year-old man is facing numerous charges in relation to the incident.
Five people at the scene of the collision on December 10 were hospitalised, including the older man.
Police are treating the death as unexplained and are looking into how the victim was connected to what happened that day.
“This will include a post mortem examination,” said police, who are asking anyone who witnesses the incident to get in touch.
The news comes after a car was reportedly driven into a bus stop in Half Moon Bay around 5.30pm on December 10.
It was reported at the time the driver had allegedly crashed into a woman, but came back and rammed a group of people who tried to assist her.
