One person has died following a crash on State Highway 30 in Rotorua late last night.

Police said the single-vehicle crash was reported shortly after 11.10pm.

State Highway 30 was closed at the time but reopened before 6am this morning.

The serious crash unit attended the scene, with investigations into the circumstances of the crash underway.
