Police investigating 'unexplained' death of child in Auckland

Police say the death of a child in Auckland's Papakura last night is "unexplained".

Police were called to an address on Cargill Street shortly after 9.30pm where a child was found dead.

"At this stage, the death is being treated as unexplained," a police spokesperson told 1News.

A post-mortem will be completed tomorrow.
