Residents near a fire on Auckland's North Shore early today were urged to keep windows and doors closed due to the smoke.
Emergency services were called to the blaze in Totara Vale at about 4.50am this morning, a Fire and Emergency (FENZ) spokesperson said. Crews arrived to find the fire "well involved".
Nobody was living in the three-storey building, the spokesperson added.
A reporter at the scene said the building involved appeared to be still under construction.
Five fire trucks attended the scene and the flames were contained to the property, FENZ said, with no injuries or damage to other buildings reported. The fire was extinguished at about 6am.
A fire investigator will attend the scene, FENZ said.
