A gun, ammunition and drug paraphernalia were seized by police after a search warrant was carried out at a Christchurch gang property today.
Officers searched the Tribesmen property in Woolston after members were seen “driving dangerously” and doing burnouts in the area.
During the search, police found a sawn-off shotgun, ammunition and drug paraphernalia.

A 31-year-old man was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition and possession of drug utensils.
He is set to appear in the Christchurch District Court today.
“The blatant disregard for road rules and safety will not be tolerated by police, and we will continue to target those offending in this manner,” a police spokesperson said.

“Christchurch residents deserve to feel safe when driving, and it is every road user’s responsibility to be mindful of other motorists.”
Police said it will “continue to take enforcement” against individuals “who consider themselves above the law and put others in harm's way.
