Kiwi pop-funk duo Foley have told Breakfast about their "big moment" after an episode of the Kardashians TV show featured their original song.

Their track Killing Me Babe plays during the opening scene in the finale of the Kardashians fourth season of their Hulu show.

Foley — Auckland-based songwriters, vocalists, and multi-instrumentalists Ash Wallace and Gabriel Everett — told Breakfast the use of their song in the episode was "a lot bigger" than they had originally thought.

"We knew it was happening but we didn't know how it would be used," Wallace said.

Everett said: "It definitely has an impact, we can see people around the world listening to the song now... streaming it... Shazaming it. It's just a big moment you know, it's really cool."

The pair have already been nominated for an APRA Silver Scroll and Aotearoa Music awards this year, with Everett describing their elation at having back-to-back success.

"It's been an incredible year we've just had hit, after hit, after hit and our album came out this year so this festival run will just be a big celebration," Everett said.

Wallace said the duo have a busy summer ahead playing at festivals across the country including Rhythm & Vines, Nest Fest and Soundsplash early next year.
