An English man banned from cycling has been jailed for 11 months after he travelled to a probation meeting by bike.
Jake Carter, 27, was given a Criminal Behaviour Order in November which banned him from using a bike or e-scooter after he assaulted multiple women in the city of Chelmsford after cycling up to them.
He breached the order twice, once cycling to an appointment with the probation service.
Essex police sergeant Graham Thomas said Carter showed a "complete lack of respect".
"This order was given to keep the wider public safe from Carter's actions and limit his ability to cause further distress to the public."
Carter admitted breaching the order at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court and was sentenced to 11 months imprisonment.
