A Levin woman celebrating her 105th birthday today says she doesn't have the secret to longevity – and instead, she just lives each day.

Wynne Bullen joined Breakfast for a heartwarming interview this morning, alongside her son Chris and daughter-in-law Marilyn.

"Had my breakfast brought to me earlier," she said. "You know, everything done for me. I'm really spoilt."

Asked if she gets to boss everyone around today, Wynne said: "Oh no, I'm not bossy!"

Wynne said she simply didn't feel any different today.

"I just feel I've walked into it," she said. "I don't feel anything special.

"I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I have no secret. I've just lived each day and got on with it."

Chris said his mum has been having two sugars in her flat white for the last few years – but Wynne wasn't so sure that was the key.

"Well, it suits me," she said. "I always call it my comfort food."

Family are coming from far and wide for the celebrations.

However, Wynne wasn't entirely cheery. Asked about how the world's changed, she had a message of peace.

"I don't like it," she said. "I don't like it. I want to fight all the wars and say, do away with those. I wish they could."

But ultimately, she feels "so lucky" to be surrounded by family.

"I so enjoy seeing them and having a big hug!"
