Over a dozen fire trucks fought a large third-alarm fire at a commercial site on Auckland's North Shore last night.
Firefighters were called to the scene in Rosedale at 8.30pm after receiving multiple calls about the fire, according to a Fire and Emergency spokesperson.
"On arrival, they found a well-involved fire."
Thirteen fire trucks attended the scene, including three specialist vehicles.
Firefighters from eight fire stations across Auckland responded to the incident.
Speaking to 1News, a nearby witness said there was a significant amount of black smoke emanating from the fire, which was occurring on the roof of a building.
The fire is believed to be occurred at a refuse station in the area.
Fire and Emergency said crews left the scene shortly after midnight.
