A serious two-vehicle crash has blocked State Highway 1 in Northland this afternoon.
Police said the crash took place between Kamo and Kauri, north of Whangārei around 4.30pm.
The Serious Crash Unit has been advised.
Diversions are in place at Salesyard Rd and the intersection of Great North Rd and SH1.
It comes as State Highway 1 reopened in southern Marlborough after a serious single-vehicle crash this afternoon.
Police said a vehicle rolled near the Wests Rd intersection south of Ward shortly before 2.30pm.
One person is in a moderate to serious condition and another is in a minor condition, a police spokesperson said.
The road is blocked at present and no local road detours are available.
A Waka Kotahi spokesperson said drivers travelling on SH1 between Blenheim and Kaikoura can expect significant delays until the scene is cleared and the highway reopened.
