Mobility scooter rider killed in Rotorua crash named

The man who died when his mobility scooter collided with a motorcycle on November 21 has been named.

Police confirmed he was Edward Joseph Duffy, aged 88.

Police said inquires into the crash on the intersection of Amohau Street and Tutanekai Street in Rotorua are still ongoing.

"We would like to hear from anyone who observed the motorcycle involved in the crash, prior to the collision with Duffy’s mobility scooter."

"We would also like to hear from anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV footage of the motorcycle prior to the crash."

Anyone with information is urged to contact 105 and quote file number 231121/3158.
