A person was assaulted during a home invasion in Papamoa yesterday morning.
Police said about 8.30am officers were called to the scene of an aggravated robbery on Fontana St.
A person entered the address and assaulted the occupant, who was the only person in the property at the time.
"The offender is described as being of a large build and was wearing a black plain hoody and a black ski mask with a Nike tick on the cheek. It is possible the offender has climbed over a fence at the rear of the property to enter and leave the address."
Police said inquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police via 105.
