One dead after crash in Auckland's Western Springs

One person has died following a two-vehicle crash in Auckland's Western Springs.

The crash happened around 2.30pm on Great North Road, according to police.

Another person was taken to hospital in serious condition.

"The Serious Crash Unit conducted a scene examination, and inquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash," said police.

"The road was closed but has now reopened."
