Erin Patterson reportedly held a party at her home the night before her arrest for allegedly poisoning guests at an event she hosted.
Patterson, 49, is charged with three counts of murder and five counts of attempted murder after a lunch in Australia's Victoria earlier this year that left three guests dead and a fourth fighting for their life. He survived after nearly two months in hospital.
Patterson prepared the meal that day. It was reportedly a Beef Wellington, with most recipes for the dish including mushrooms.
Police have said the victims' symptoms were consistent with death cap mushrooms.
She is also accused of the attempted murder of her ex-husband Simon on at least four occasions.
9News reported Patterson's neighbours said she entertained guests on Thursday last week, the night before she was arrested.
Unaware it would be her last night as a free woman – for a time, at least – she had "a group of friends" over for a party.
The next day, she was arrested and charged. She made her first appearance in court on Friday.
The mother of two is currently being held at a maximum security women's prison.
