TIME have named a Kiwi creation as one of the best inventions of 2023.
Last week, the magazine revealed its annual list, which features 200 extraordinary innovations that are "changing people's lives".
Earlier this year, a Canterbury duo smashed the perception of what a campervan looks like with a futuristic design called the Romotow T8 caravan.
To some, it looks like a giant USB stick, but its designer said it’s the “ultimate caravan”.
A spokesperson for Romotow said the caravan was included in the list in the design category, chosen for its outstanding and original design and functionality.

"Romotow is the next evolution in mobile living. Timeless styling, high build quality, luxurious finishes, automated setup, and a patented design allows for a compacted form when towing or not in use, then - at the push of a button - the cabin rotates from the outer shell to reveal a covered patio that can be closed down for four seasons 'camping'.
"Not your normal caravan, and whilst totally mobile, the Romotow is also ideal as a beach house, tiny home or guest room on a larger property."
TIME describes the list as 200 "groundbreaking inventions". Alongside the Romotow caravan was a OLED dual-screen laptop, sustainable sneakers, and a futuristic fireplace.

Romotow director Stuart Winterbourn said the caravan was inspired by the luxurious serenity of sailing in a yacht.
Earlier this year he told 1News: “Well, I guess that was the original driver. That was kind of the feel - how can we take that experience of a luxury yacht or a luxury apartment and combine that with getting out into the wilderness and enjoying nature and adventuring like a camper?”
