Auckland man drives himself to hospital after being shot in car

The man was sitting in his car around 6.25pm on Marjorie Jayne Crescent in Ōtāhuhu, when two men approached him.

A 41-year-old Auckland man drove himself to hospital last night after being shot while sitting in his car.

The man was sitting in his car around 6.25pm on Marjorie Jayne Crescent in Ōtāhuhu, when two men approached him.

He was then shot at through the "driver's window screen".

The man drove himself to the Whitecross Accident and Emergency Centre on Lunn Ave in Mount Wellington and was quickly transported to Auckland Hospital.

While at Auckland Hospital, he underwent surgery and remains in a stable condition, police said.
