Aussie dessert brand Sara Lee, which Kiwis may know for its popular frozen cheesecakes, has gone into voluntary administration.
FTI Consulting was appointed as voluntary administrator on Tuesday.
The firm will seek a restructuring and sale of the Sara Lee business, while still "continuing operations".
Administrator Vaughan Strawbridge says they hope to continue to brand's "long history of manufacturing in Australia".
"We expect a lot of interest in the business and will work with those parties and stakeholders to achieve an outcome soon as possible to secure the ongoing business and provide clarity to its loyal and committed staff and customers," Strawbridge said.
Around 200 staff are employed at its manufacturing facility in Lisarow, New South Wales.
Established in 1971 in Lisarow, Sara Lee has since been a staple in New Zealand supermarket freezers.
In October 2021, NZ company the South Island Office acquired Sara Lee from McCain Foods for AU$95 million.
At the time, Sara Lee held approximately 53% of the frozen dessert market across Australia and New Zealand, according to law firm Chapman Tripp.
Sara Lee has rights to operate in New Zealand and Australia, as well as South East Asia and the Middle East.
The company has been approached for comment.
