The Wellington Phoenix have announced their first double-header outside of the capital with Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium set to host the men's and women's teams next month.
The Phoenix will play at Go Media Stadium Mt Smart on Saturday 25 November with the men up first at 4:30pm against three-time premiers Melbourne City before the women play the Perth Glory at 7:15pm.
Phoenix general manager said he was hoping to see Kiwi families come out for an afternoon of top tier football.
“It’s a big undertaking to stage two-A-League matches at one venue but the Auckland Stadiums team are up to the challenge,” Dome said.
“Go Media Stadium has a great track record of hosting major events, including a Warriors’ NRL finals match and an All Blacks Test in recent months, and it’s a great venue for our supporters, who will be able to get closer to the action than ever before.
“The stadium is really tailor-made for football and both Wellington Phoenix teams are looking forward to playing on what is always a great surface.
“It’s fantastic that Auckland football fans will get to see the Phoenix men and women in action on the same day.”

The announcement comes after it was confirmed by A-League officials last week that they had named US businessman Bill Foley as their "preferred bidder" for an expansion club in Auckland starting in the 2024-25 season.
Next month will be the Phoenix's second trip to Mt Smart after the men's team drew with the Western Sydney Wanderers 2-2 a week before Christmas in 2016.
The result added to an impressive tally for the Phoenix men in the City of Sails, having only lost once in 16 matches in Tāmaki Makaurau.
It will also be the second time the Phoenix women have played in Auckland after a narrow 1-0 loss to eventual champions Sydney FC at North Harbour Stadium last season.
