A child has died in an incident on a driveway in Auckland's Epsom.

Police said the tragedy took place on Watling St. They were notified at 8.46am.

Police said the child died after an incident involving a vehicle.

Investigations are underway.

"Our thoughts are with the family involved, and we are ensuring there is support available for them at this difficult time," police said.
