Aussie mining magnate's $40m super yacht runs aground

An Aussie mining magnate's $40 million super yacht has run aground off the coast of Singapore.

According to 9News, the vessel named Australia became stuck near Sentosa Island yesterday afternoon after reportedly hitting a reef during low tide.

Clive Palmer purchased the 56 metre Australia super yacht in 2021, it can fit 12 guests and 12 crew and has multiple bars and sundecks.

Australia was heading from Singapore to Port Moresby before it ran into trouble.

It's unclear if Palmer is on board the vessel.
