Eleven kilos of "suspected" cocaine has been uncovered inside the cushions of an electric wheel chair in Hong Kong.
BBC have reported the haul is worth NZ $2.5 million, discovered when a man was going through customs.
The man, 52, was arriving from Sint Maarten via Paris on Sunday. He was arrested at the airport.
BBC reported that customs said the man brought the wheelchair into the country as checked baggage.
"Further examination was ordered when staff became suspicious and they found evidence that its seat cushion and backrest had been re-stitched.
"The man, who is not from Hong Kong and has mobility issues, reportedly told officials that he was the director of a car rental company and that the wheelchair had been loaned to him by a friend," BBC said.
Customs said they would increase checks on visitors from "high-risk regions" to prevent "transnational drug trafficking activities".
The 52-year-old could face life in prison if found guilty of trafficking a dangerous drug. Investigations are ongoing.
