Kaikōura boy, 11, missing after going fishing found 'safe and well'

An 11-year-old boy who went missing in Kaikōura over the weekend has been found "safe and well".

Jackson had last been seen on Beach Rd at about 1.30pm yesterday afternoon, police said earlier today.

The boy, reported missing yesterday, has been located safe and well," police said in an update this afternoon.

"Police would like to thank anyone who provided information to assist in locating him."
