Fulltime: IRE 36 SCO 14
Berry blows his whistle for fulltime and that's it - Ireland have qualified for a quarter-final with the All Blacks and will likely enter it as favourites. They are so well organised and in such good form that the All Blacks will have to come up with something truly special to win in Paris next Sunday. They can do it but questions will be asked about their changing line ups over their last three easy pool victories compared with Ireland, who are playing with a cemented combination and comfortably survived what was expected to be a tough test against the Scots. Breaking down that defence early will be hard for the All Blacks, but they know what they're up against and should have strategies. There is definitely space there behind that green wall - their kicking game will have to be on point. That's it for me, Patrick McKendry, match report to follow. Thanks for reading and watching.
80 min IRE 36 SCO 14
Ireland appear over for another try - ref Nic Berry awarded it - but the TMO interjects, saying there's a knock-on in the build up. Only seconds remaining now. Big left wing van der Merwe gets a rare chance to have a run and he makes good ground as Scotland attempt to score another consolation try but his pass is dropped and it's game over.
73 min IRE 36 SCO 14
The pace of this game is taking its toll with both sides kicking aimlessly. There is space just in behind the Irish defence but Scotland are kicking too far. Gibson-Park wins a penalty turnover for Ireland.
66 min IRE 36 SCO 14
Try! Wow, another try for Scotland, with halfback Ali Price going over near the posts. Sione Tuipulotu made the break on the left from the re-start for Scotland and they are finally firing shots in this match! Russell kicks the easy conversion.
64min IRE 36 SCO 7
Try! Scotland's replacement hooker Ewen Ashman is over! Lovely bit of skill from him to hare down the right sideline after being put into space by midfielder Sione Tuipulotu. Russell kicks the conversion. The highest margin of victory by Ireland over Scotland is 30 points. They're still on track to break that.
58 min IRE 36 SCO 0
Try! Gary Ringrose goes over in the corner after a wide kick-pass from Sexton's replacement Jack Crowley, who hits the left post with his conversion attempt.
57 min IRE 31 SCO 0
Ireland's supporters are in good voice. It will be a hugely intimidating atmosphere for the All Blacks next Sunday. There will be pressure on the match officials too because of that.
50 min IRE 31 SCO 0
Nice bit of skill from Russell as he kicks a 50-22. Russell then almost squeezes his way through a gap to reach the line but is short. Scotland win a penalty on the line and take a tap kick but it's a lame knock-on and Ireland are off the hook again.
48 min IRE 31 SCO 0
Scotland win a penalty on halfway and Finn Russell, attempting to put the ball in the corner, fails to find touch. Story of their match. Ireland bring on a big number of replacement forwards.
44 min IRE 31 SCO 0
Try! Ireland are in again after a game of rugby breaks out. Halfback Gibson-Park is heavily involved after Aki monsters his way up the middle. Hooker Dan Sheehan holds his width on the left and goes over. Sexton misses the conversion. As expected, he wonders off the pitch straight after as he is replaced.
42 min IRE 26 SCO 0
Scotland start the second half in a positive fashion by retaining the ball but they can't break through. The ball goes into touch off Scotland. And there's a huge scuffle between the teams! No sign of it ending either as Sexton complains about being tripped! Crazy scenes with players wrestling over the advertising boards. Replays show a mild trip attempt by No. 23 Ollie Smith as only the barest of contact is made and Sexton doesn't even fall, but the TMO gets involved. It ends with Smith being sinbinned. Appears a huge overreaction by the officials.
Halftime: IRE 26 SCO 0
Four tries to nil for Ireland in the first half as they pick up the bonus point and head towards a quarter-final against the All Blacks in Paris next Sunday. They are playing with an intensity that is on a different level to the Scots, who have been disappointing. Ireland's defence is a standout, but their attack is impressive too. They may have the luxury of taking off some key players, including Johnny Sexton, shortly after the re-start, so comfortable do they look.
39 min IRE 26 SCO 0
Try! Hugo Keenan is over for another. Questions about whether he grounded it from the commentators but nothing from the officials. From a quick tap kick, Ireland set up a ruck and swing it to the right. Too easy for Ireland. Sexton kicks the extras.
38 min IRE 19 SCO 0
Scotland earn a reprieve when ref Nic Berry gets in the way of another attack on Scotland's line. It appears to be only temporary.
32 min IRE 19 SCO 0
Try! Ireland are in again! Andrew Porter, the big prop, starts it with a turnover penalty in his own territory, and Ireland go on the attack again. Halfback Jamison Gibson-Park goes close from a ruck on the Scotland line, with lock Iain Henderson eventually scoring. Sexton adds the extras. The game is all but up for Scotland, who cannot match Ireland's physicality or intensity. To make matters worse, Scotland are penalised for a neck roll in a ruck.
26 min IRE 12 SCO 0
Try! Scotland pay the price for giving the ball away, with Ireland winning the lineout and attacking nicely. Bundee Aki and Johnny Sexton are involved as the Irish slice through with fullback Hugo Keenan scoring. Again, it happened a little too easily but credit to Ireland's attack - it is well oiled. Sexton converts.
24 min IRE 5 SCO 0
Scotland, on defence, win a turnover and Finn Russell goes ever so close to a 50-22. Ireland clear but Scotland lose the lineout. They win it back somehow but aimless kicking from the Scots allows Ireland to win a lineout inside Scotland territory. Ireland wing James Lowe is receiving treatment on an injury.
20 min IRE 5 SCO 0
Great exit from Scotland. From the defensive scrum, No.8 Pierre Schoeman makes good metres and the Scots clear for a lineout beyond halfway.
19 min IRE 5 SCO 0
Ireland again break through too easily and a try goes begging. Right wing Mack Hansen drops an offload cold with the line in front of him. The Scots have to find a way to slow Ireland's ball and put more pressure on. Scotland skipper Jamie Ritchie walks off with a rib injury. Grim for Scotland.
14 min IRE 5 SCO 0
Scotland put 18 phases on Ireland within Ireland's red zone but cannot break through. Incredible defence but credit to Scotland's composure and skill too. However, a knock on lets Ireland off the hook. This defence will be very hard to break down. Ireland have a defensive scrum. And win a penalty. They clear, win the lineout, but then cough up an uncharacteristic knock-on.
11 min IRE 5 SCO 0
Scotland kick to the corner, drive and go on the attack. Little right wing Darcy Graham is well tackled near the line but the Irish pile over the top and lose their feet at the ruck, conceding another penalty. Scotland kick to the corner again.
7 min IRE 5 SCO 0
Yes, they should have gone for the kick. Scotland make inroads and left wing Duhan van der Merwe goes close in the opposite, left, corner, but Ireland win a turnover penalty. The Irish then knock the ball on and the Scots have the put in to the first scrum. And they win a penalty!
5 min IRE 5 SCO 0
Good response by Scotland. From the kick-off, Scotland retrieve Ireland's exit kick and string together several promising phases. Ireland are penalised for a high tackle about 42m out and in front of the posts and the Scots kick to the corner. Maybe a penalty shot was more prudent?
1 min IRE 5 SCO 0
Try! After only 63 seconds, Ireland centre Gary Ringrose slices through with Kiwi left wing James Lowe scoring in the corner. Heck of a start by Ireland. Johnny Sexton misses the conversion.
Anthems are done. Big presence in the packed stands from both nations at the Stade de France. Standby for kick-off, folks. After Manu Samoa pushed England all the way in an earlier pool game this morning, this one should be a barnstormer.
