One dead, two injured after vehicles collide on SH29 in Waikato

One person has died, and another is critically injured after a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 29 in Waikato this afternoon.

The crash happened at the Waikato end of the Kaimai Range, just east of the intersection with Rapurapu Road, around 3.15pm.

One person died in the crash. Two were injured, with one suffering serious injuries while the other is in critical condition.

The road is now closed, and police are advising people to avoid the area and delay travel.
