Aus real estate agent jailed for filming young women in their homes

An Australian man has been jailed for secretly filming women inside their homes.

Joshua Allison, 42, spent the last decade preying on a total of 11 young women, including his female housemates — he installed a camera inside their bathroom wall.

One of Allison's victims, M, said she felt like her innocence was taken away from her, after the real estate agent filmed her through her bedroom window.

"I had finished having my shower and I saw an arm pull from the window and I was completely freaked out," M told Nine News.

"He was doing it from the neighbours' side of the house, we assume he had jumped the fence.

"I just can't fathom how someone could get enjoyment from doing that to young people."

Allison was caught in January 2021 after a manager at a Coles supermarket caught him attempting to film up the skirts of two young women.

Following his arrest, Melbourne police searched his home and found a flash drive, titled The Collection.

Allison's defence team claimed his accountability was reduced due a recent diagnosis of a "voyeuristic disorder".

The judge dismissed this claim and sentenced the father of one to four years and 10 months in jail.

Allison will also be registered as a sex offender for life.
