A pedestrian has been hospitalised following a crash in Lower Hutt this morning.

The incident involving the pedestrian and a vehicle took place at the roundabout where Ludlam Crescent turns into Randwick Rd around 6.30am.

The pedestrian was rushed to hospital.

"One lane of the road is blocked, and motorists can expect delays in the area while the scene is examined," police said.
