Two dead in three-car crash near Palmerston North

Two people have died following a three-car crash on State Highway 3 in Ashhurst, near Palmerston North this morning.

Police said the crash was reported at around 6.50am.

Two people died at the scene.

Inquiries are underway into how the crash happened.
