A person has died at a South Auckland workplace this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Bolderwood Place, Wiri, around 12.30pm.

"WorkSafe has been advised and inquiries into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing," police said in a statement.

No further details on the death were released by police.
