Pedestrian dies after being hit by car in Gisborne

September 3, 2023

A pedestrian has died after being hit by a car in Gisborne.

Police said they were called to the incident, which involved a car and a pedestrian, on Moana Road around 12.50pm yesterday.

"The pedestrian was transported to hospital in a critical condition," police said in a statement.

That person has died today.

Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
