A 12-year-old Auckland girl reported as missing has made contact with her family.

However, police and her family remain concerned she is in the company of people older than herself.

She hasn't been seen since Friday August 11.

Anyone who has further information on her whereabouts should contact police on 105, quoting file number: 230812/5064.
