1 dead, three in hospital after car hits power pole in Christchurch

One person has died and three others are seriously injured after a car crashed into a power pole in Christchurch early this morning.

Police said the crash occurred just after 1am on Greywacke Rd in Harewood.

One person died and three others in the car were seriously injured and transported to hospital.

Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
