Three people were taken to Auckland Hospital overnight following a house fire in Mount Roskill.

Firefighters responded to the blaze on Hillsborough Rd shortly before 1am.

The fire was contained to the house and extinguished.

A fire investigator is on the scene this morning, a Fire and Emergency spokesperson said.

A St John spokesperson said three people were hospitalised in moderate condition.
