At least one critically injured in SH5 crash in east Taupō

A serious crash on SH5 east of Taupō has left at least one person critically injured.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) said they are are in attendance to a car fire with three units.

Police said the incident involved two vehicles and occurred between Motukino Rd and High Level Rd at Iwitahi at about 6pm.

The serious crash unit is investigating and motorists are advised to expect delays.
