Road closed after fatal crash near Te Puke

One person has died after a two-car crash on State Highway 2, east of Te Puke, this evening.

Police were called to the crash on Te Puke East Rd, Pongakawa, at 5.40pm.

Another person is reported to have sustained moderate injuries, police said.

The road is closed and is expected to be closed for some time.
