Motorcyclist dead after crash north of Auckland

One person has died after a single motorcycle crash north of Auckland this afternoon.

The crash was reported on the Kaipara Coast Highway near Kanohi Rd, Kaukapakapa at 12.45pm.

The single motorcyclist died in the crash, police said.

The road was closed but reopened at 5pm.

The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
