Firefighters extinguish blaze at Auckland City Mission

A fire broke out on the seventh floor of Auckland's City Mission this morning.

Smoke could be spotted coming out of a room of the Hobson St building just after 11am.

Fire and Emergency NZ told 1News the fire has been extinguished and all persons are accounted for.

There were no injuries reported.

Nine fire trucks attended the scene and firefighters "had to run a hose" to extinguish the blaze.
