Woman dies after quad bike rolls in Waitomo

A woman has died after a quad bike rolled near Piopio, Waitomo this afternoon.

Ambulances were called to a farm property near Paekaka Rd, where they found a quad bike had rolled.

Police said one woman was injured, and she was given medical attention. However, she was unable to be revived and died at the scene.

The serious crash unit attended, and WorkSafe has been notified.
