Man dies after 'water-related incident' in Clutha River waterhole

A man has died following a "water-related incident" in Balclutha this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to a waterhole in the Clutha River around 5.30pm after a person was reported missing, police say.

A body has since been pulled from the river.

The death will be referred to the coroner.
